SBEDF Announces New Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives
ST. BERNARD PARISH, LA — St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation (SBEDF) is thrilled to announce the promotion of Danielle Martin as Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives. Since joining SBEDF in 2016, Martin has been at the forefront of business attraction and development in St. Bernard Parish. In her previous role as Brand Management & Community Relations Manager, Martin spearheaded the full implementation of SBEDF’s corporate rebrand and development strategy. She serves as a liaison for SBEDF with partnering businesses, regional organizations, governmental agencies, and media contacts. Martin has been recognized as a Women in Excellence - Mover and Shaker by New Orleans CityBusiness, served as a moderator for Nunez Community College’s She Means Business series, and was a 2018 Emerge Summit speaker.
As Director of Communications & Strategic Initiatives, Martin will continue to oversee all communications, marketing, branding efforts. Martin will lead SBEDF program operations and ensure activities adhere to strategic objectives of strengthening public awareness, encouraging business development, and increasing corporate investment. Martin will continue to work closely with SBEDF’s Board of Directors and provide insight for strategic planning and local business needs.
Martin is a board member for the Young Leadership Council, currently serving as the 2019 Vice President of Communications, and a recently appointed board member for the Nunez Community College Foundation. Martin is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she studied Architecture and Community Design and Development.
SBEDF Executive Director, Andrew Jacques commended Martin for her contributions to the success of the organization saying, “Danielle has been a pivotal piece of our success from the growth of our programming to the development of our brand and marketing collateral. I have no doubt that Danielle will strengthen our position even further in her new role.”
Martin will continue to champion SBEDF in the community and cultivate relationships that support economic development efforts in St. Bernard Parish. Martin will build upon her expanding knowledge of St. Bernard’s business community and previous experience as a small business owner and entrepreneur to facilitate growth across all sectors of the local economy.
